  1. I think from memory it was just forward and backwards and lock into two positions. Is there any notes on informing the car owner that the tester has moved the seat? I can always tell if my seat has moved but I knew some people who would just jump in their car and drive off, not knowing seat had moved, until they either stall or can't reach the brake peddle. Bit extreme I know but I'm sure someone would try and use it as an excuse to make a claim.
  2. on my Exmo I have mounted my bike fuel pump (looks about same size as your but horizontal) next to the tank on the inner wing. bit hard to explain but it's a folded section that hangs down about 8" or so that has a folded return about an inch long. I found I could then route the pipe though a hole the outer wing area and up into the folded section that runs the length of the cabin to the engine bay ( below right in your photo)

    Poker Pop-Up?

It wouldn't be the first time an auto generating ad system was hacked, I think a couple of newspaper sites got hacked in a similar way last year and it was traced back to a Google ad redirect. I think it's a good idea to have ads (virus free of course)) for non members, I few other forums I'm on do it and they don't put me off using and give the site some extra income, and but that's another discussion altogether.
  4. the Exmo is McPherson strut, there are no brackets available off the self that I know of. search on richardm6694's post he has posted plenty of photos in the past. there is also someone who has just passed Iva who made brackets but I can't remember his name at the min. search function is your friend!

    Free At Last

I got my statement the other week, think i'll be working well into my 70's. Where does all the money go after you peg it? are they really expecting me to live to 120 when they forecast how much I can have a year...I feel a rant coming on.......... Anyway, enjoy your retirement

    3A Tie Bar Conversion

Don't forget your paying for parts material & labour from machine shop, zinc plating then Burtons overheads in that price. I suspect they don't make them themselves. Trust me it all adds up when pricing jobs. If you can supply material and drawings to a machine shop you would get it a lot cheaper.

    Computer Help

I'm not sure it's anything matt can control, I know of other people have the same malware attacks lately and they have never been on this site. I think the earlier problems I had where DNS related as grim suggested in another post. I ran extensive Av and AW scans overnight and found nothing on my system, also connecting via mobile data seemed to work fine when tethering laptop and tablet.

    Post Test

Think you might be right grim, tethered the tablet to a mobile and it now works.

    Computer Help

either avast or chrome is blocking this site on both my windows pc and android tablet. guessing there is an issue. iPhone works fine though.
  10. I'll have them, can you pm me for payment details etc.

    Post Test

pretty sure I don't have a virus, I'm very paranoid and have various defences in place along with regular checks. only appears to be this site anyway. probably a temporary glitch.

Agree with above and adding, clear temporary files/cookies and Internet history too. I use avast anti virus (free) and camodo firewall (also free) for protection.
  14. the bearing mod really stiffens up the steering column, especially on the exmo, and yes it is a right *bleep* to fit with the engine in place and the brake master cylinder. I actually got stuck head first in the footwell whilst making the hole bigger!
  15. I know a lot of people hate flux but I have been with them on and off since 2003 when I had a heavily modified MGZR, I got the best deal with them for my current 6MPS with full breakdown included which I used a lot with the Hood. You do have to read the quotes though as the have a habit of adding extras and administration fees but when challenged they have always withdrawn them to match/better other quotes. I don't have any connection to Adrian flux, just feel it's important to give both sides as most people only give feedback after poor experiences.
  16. For my last mot I sat in the car and turn stuff on and off when asked so I guess you will be fine as long as you don't have an unlabelled ejector seat!
  17. if you do decide to split and sell for parts, I will be interested in the exhaust and bike carbs/manifold for the right price. PM me if you prefer. Regards, Jamie P.
  18. I'm just glad most criminals are stupid, when someone attempted to break into my garage they spent so long trying to bend the door out the didnt realise they had broken the lock and turning the handle would have let them in. I now have no handles or lock visable so they don't know where to attack. As for the dog, i have heard of people putting poison through cat flaps to silence dogs before attempting a break in, so thankfully that didnt happen.
  19. Turns out eating is dangerous too, I ended up in A&E on saturday after getting a rogue chicken bone lodged in my throat. Turns out best way to get them out is by sticking a camera up your nose, I definatly wasn't expecting that! Glad your sight is back to normal.

    Hearing Protection

I have worn earplugs on long motorway journys in the hood, when I had a modified ZR I got some little ear defenders for my daughter when we went to cornwall as that used to be quite loud in the back. Like has been said, once its gone its gone for good.

    Ideas

How about a club tour of a factory such as McLaren, (or one voted favourite) edit: I meant McLaren F1 not maclaren pushchairs...

    Skcc Video

I personally would like to attend more meets/shows etc but having two young kids and a nurse for a wife makes it hard to commit too far in advance. Having a car that runs under its own steam would help too.
  23. you will find the poppers are usually tight when the roof is cold as they recommend, when installing, fitting after the roof has warmed in the house (if fitting in winter) to stop the roof going baggy. mine is very hard to fit when cold.
  24. Hello I'm trying to clear some space in the garage and this has got to go: pine surround with cast iron Tulip insert, including insert tiles. I don't know how old this is as it was in the house when we bought it in 2004 it was taken out in 2007/8 and has been stored in my garage since. There is some surface rusting but should clean up well. I'll try and get some new photos in daylight if anyone is interested. £100 ono collection only (from Hull) as it is very heavy. The gas fire is not included as it was condemned and binned.
  25. my exmo uses the mini system the wiper boxes are kept in place by two plastic spacers cut at an angle (one either side of scuttle) then a washer and the nut, my wiper blades are push on type. hope that make sence. my motor was secured via a jubilee clip arond the brace under the scuttle.
