  8. Hi havent been on for a while due to work commitments. I am now going to respray my robinhood 2b. I also want to permanently fix the bonnet and just make a lift off center section. Question is, where is the best place to buy rubber trims etc? I had a link to a very good site once but can find it :-( Also does anyone know where I can get some replacement pins for the lift off doors at all? They are just basically 6mm stainless pins by the looks of them. Many Thanks Gareth P.S good to be back
  9. Loads of these no make up pics on here tonight. Sitting here thinking most look better without it anyway :-). Well done

  10. Cheers nick, thats cleared things up lots. What setup do you use? Ill have a mine one weekend and reprt back.
  11. I've took a pie e out the side to mate. Behind where I have took the plate out tho is a big chuncky piece of steel from the frame. So still can't get at it. Doh
  12. Cheers mate, i have removed the tunnel top on mine too, but cant get near it. Dunno what im gonna do,
  13. Cheers for the input Tim, i read the ms site a fair bit albeit doesnt make much sense lol... The COPS im looking at bolt to the cam cover so i shouldnt have any probs there.. Im still on a learning curve with regards to ms... Need to figure out how the vxr and saab packs are fired now. :-)
  14. Had a reply from Phil, the guy is total star.. Always replies with the answers. I dont like asking too much tho.. So i will be ditching the edis setup and using the vx trigger etc. How does true cops work? If i used the cam sensor, what are the benefits and would i have to have my ignition re-mapped or do the tables stay the same? Does the saab and vaux cops use a 5v trigger do you know? I really am a complete novice when it comes to this stuff. Kind Regards Gareth
  15. To be honest i want to tidy the bay up as the HT leads look ugly and the Ford ones dont fit the xe properley . On the same note as you say its a learning curve. I am planning to continue using wasted spark so i shouldnt need the cam sensor however my engine has got one so it can be easily incorperated. Dont fancy having it re-mapped tho really. I belive some COPS have built in ignitors and some dont. Its this im not 100% on? Gareth
  16. Right im with you mate cheers. Ive fired another email over to Phil too. Sure peeps on here will be interested :-) What do the ignitors do exactly? IM also wondering if i have the other 2 drivers fitted if i could ditch edis all together and just run the vaux crank sensor as opposed to the external pick up i have setup.. What you think? Should i stick with edis? I cant remember why i went down that route in the 1st place now it's been that long Gareth
  17. Cheers mate. i spoke to phil last week who said in one email i would need re-wiring but i forgot to tell him i was using edis. I re-emailed him but havent had a reply yet, so asking on here. I assumed that essentially the " 2 coils " were basically 4 but paired up? What plugs would you suggest? Also do you know if the vaux vxr has built in ignitors at all? Gareth
  18. http://www.sbdev.co.uk/Clutches/Clutch_Release_Mechanisms/Clutch_Release_Mechanisms.htm spacer is clt hcs 30
  19. Right im with you. I cant change the clutch slave as it was an sbd jobbiw for the type 9 and cost a small fortune. Im using a .625 with it at the moment and the bite is still to high and very sharp. Is .625 the smallest you can get? My only other option i suppose "last resort" is to remove the box and have the slave collar adapter machined down so the slave has to travel futher...
  20. Ahh right, I've tried a few forums to be honest and not had much replies either. What I can add tho is they will work with the ford edis setup and megasquirt setup to run spark directly. Those of you running a vaux xe, the vag 1.8t COPS fit the head nicely. However since I got the Saab ones cheap enough, I'm gonna try them!!
  21. Also what is the smallest the cylinders go down to? I'm using a .625 cor the clutch and I have had to put spacers between the body and the cylinder to move the pedal back if you get my drift
  22. Cheers for thereply mAte, so am I right in thinking that fir the clutch I could use a larger master to allow the bite to be further down? At the moment I dint have to push the pedal much for the clutch to slip. I am using sierra front disks/calipers and sierra rear drums. Cheers Gareth
  23. I have posted simmilar before but didnt really get the jist. I have an obp pedal box. Can i clarify that i should have the 0.7 cylinder to the front brakes and the 0.75 to the rear? Also on the setup, is the front master the left or right cylinder? I also have a prob with my hydraulic cluth in that i dont have to push the pedal much to get it to dis-engage, now would i use a bigger or smaller master cylinder to remedy this? Kind Regards Gareth
