Probably a little attention to detail with clips, fuel and brake pipes that will be visible to the tester. Uniformity and straight lines, insulated wiring terminals will fill the tester with confidence of the build.

Going to make my own, currently have perspex and stainless steel boot lid attached with some old mini boot hinges. I now want a cover to match the seats.

Shame the club could not buy them, corner weights at end of season bash could be interesting. Also there's no flat area to use.

Hi, I'm running twin 45's. Can you give me you specs, jet size and engine type. Idle circuit is used throughout the range in these carbs. Do you know what progression holes are in the carb because this can make a huge difference?

Done, it's where I got the original twin 45 with 5 progression holes. Just waiting for delivery, fingers crossed for this week before Santapod.

A few members have noticed that my car is smelling a bit rich. It has been on a rolling road twice and always comes off slightly rich to play it safe. Anyway thought this weekend I would investigate further. On inspection of the carbs I noticed cylinder 3 & 4 had petrol pooling on the chokes. It appears the needle valve was not closing or the fuel pressure was to high. Stripped the carbs and needle valve was OK, free to move and floats still adjusted right. The floats are black plastic and not the brass type, but I notice one set was slightly heavier. I shook them but could not hear fuel sloshing, tried the float test under water and could note see any bubbles. WTF. So I put them on the kitchen scales (don't tell the wife) and one set was much heavier. However, when squeezing the heavy set I noticed fuel oozing out, rammed a knife into it and noticed they are not hollow like the brass. They were a like a sponge with a hard case. Problem solved just need to order a set of floats for dcoe and fit before kitfest.

Have you fitted the longer clutch lever pin?

Not sure of the angle, but I made and fitted the plates my ST170 engine and chassis, then put engine roughly into place to measure the box section. Works very well.

Where's the fun of having a spare tank? To be fair I could do with some extra capacity, always carry an extra 5 litres on our days out.

There's a few available from Demon tweeks made specifically for the Sierra. Expensive but good, alternatively Sierra r us should still have parts that you can refurbish.

I vaguely remember someone buying the build rights many, many years ago. Then there was a new model but very keen to move away from kit car scene to small car manufacturer.

Some great videos on eBay to extract studs. Include using coper pipe! You cannot beat drills, but you need good quality cobalt drill bits and not Aldi specials!
