  1. Here is my Zero on one of the Scotland road trips.
  2. Sorry to hear this Bob, but glad it was all sorted so quickly and without fuss. It is all we ever want from our insurance cover.
  3. Change of dates means I may be able to make it now.
  4. Just seen this on Facebook that this has just been confirmed by CKC to be the weekend of the 25th and 26th July 2020 Never been to Newark and I still won't as I will be away in France!
  5. Congrats. Car shows aren't for everyone, but I like to go and fly the flag for the kit car world.
  6. Mitch - I go along to the Westfield Cotswolds meetings and they are on the last Thursday of every month. There is one tonight. We meet at The Golden Heart, Nettleton Bottom on the A417/419 from 7.30pm. You would be very welcome to come along to that, everyone is welcome!
  7. Wow, that is amazing! Best wishes to you both in your new home. You have picked a beautiful part of the country to move to.
  8. GBS will have nothing for the 2B as they have moved on to other things now. There was no physical build manual but VHS tapes that have since been put up on YouTube, as mentioned above. Other then the videos, this forum is the biggest source of knowledge of the 2B you will find.
  9. I think they will be too small for the rear wishbones. It is very tight on 15" wheels.
  10. Due to other commitments I can't camp over so I might just come up for the day on the Saturday.
  11. Fantastic progress, it is look really great!
  12. Thanks Bob, not far off retirement
  13. I also favour the surrey top/ half hood option. It is so much quicker to put on when required and just rolls up and fits to the back of the car. I had mine made by Softbits and this is actually my car in their pictures showing it fitted and rolled. https://www.softbitsshop.co.uk/gbs-zero-half-hood-standard-chassis-815-p.asp Like you, I don't go out deliberately but it has saved me getting soaked before. You still get some water getting in, but it is 95% dry.
  14. The nearest you could get in the UK to that is PR15ONR or PR15NER but neither are available numbers and I suspect if they were they could possibly have cost well into 4 figures. Some of these 'vanity/personalised' registration numbers can cost getting on for 6 figures or more!!!
  15. Has it been painted or wrapped? Whichever, it looks really nice
  16. Yes, that is the problem part. Taken from the GBS Owners Facebook page, the fix is to replace the rod end bearing that the gear lever shaft goes through.
  17. Hi Jez, no it an MT75 with the GBS quickshift fitted. It is a known weakness of the earlier versions they made. Apparently the later versions don't rattle.
  18. I can see how that would work as if I hold the lever over to the left or right with a small amount of pressure, the rattle stops.
  19. Wow, is it really 3 years since my last blog post!! As for the mirrors, I found they are a little restrictive view wise and I went back to the original mirrors for the Switzerland trip as I had bags blocking the centre mirror. I might swap them back as I do like the smaller form factor and I am happy with the rear view compromise.
  20. I want to fix the gear lever rattle as it is annoying me! I have the bits, I just need to find the time! I would like to tidy up the paintwork, but funds are too tight at the moment.

    Nearly ready

It looks good from the picture, good job! Taking it to GBS to put through the IVA is not a cop out, many people do the same. They know exactly what does and doesn't need to be done and work closely with the test centre. It may cost extra but it is a guaranteed pass, or as guaranteed as it can be!
  22. Cracking job Stuart, all looks good to me.
  23. This has also been mentioned on the Westfield forum. One of the guys noticed that it was actually just a club stand for the NWKCOC, so they emailed the organiser about a WSCC stand and got the following reply: Hi Kev It is the same weekend as the Retro Show but it’s own show in another section of the park. More details will follow this week. Santa Pod are setting up KITFEST tickets separately, so hang fire for a week if your looking to book. Will be a great weekend. Regards Robert
  24. Brilliant Steve, hope to see you there at 11:30.
