The sender I got from kit spares has only one threaded pole or rod on the top of the sender with one wire on the inside. I connected the power and sender signal wire to the pole and the third wire to earth. When the ignition is switched on the gauge goes up to full. When the the ignition is switched off the gauge goes down to half and stays there. Whether it's a coincidence or not that the tank is half full I Don't know. Electrics are not my strong point guys
Morning folks, anybody on here got indicator/hazard warning stalk for a 1986 1.6 sierra? It was my Donald car years ago. The hazard switch will no work any more there is power there but that's all.
Cheers
Richard
My Sierra was a 1986 1.6L it had 13' steels. I fitted 14' bk racing alloys that were on a MK4 Escort. When I went for what was the SVA in 2004 I was worried a about the Speedo reading slow but I needn't have worried. Now I'm fancying a classic sort of look and minilite style wheels do the job for me.
The engine runs sweet once it's clears after about 5 mins but it's like it's going on three cylinders and popping through the exhaust
and back through the carbs. When it clears it's revs perfect just wonder if it's flooding a little while starting because it's takes a couple of attempts to fire.

Why does my zetec black top on bike carbs take so long to run clear from cold. Even when it can run
without the choke it's like it's got an oiled up plug but does clear eventually but too long I'd say
Richard
Cheers Gents, I ran the engine for quite while with the the needle well up and when
I stopped the engine there was no sign over heating what so ever. Complete silence.
Cheers

I have just finished fitting a 2.0 zetec black top in my 2 series. My car has the Sierra dash
cluster from when i built it. When the engine is running the tempreature needle is sitting much
higher than when the pinto 2.0 did. Does the zetec run at a higher temperature or have I got
a cooling problem.
Cheers
Richard
Going to order a regulator the same as what Maccavvy has and see if that cures the problem.
Can't do nothing till next weekend as I work away from home. I'll let you guys know how it goes
though
Richard
May have narrowed it down a bit. I took the tee piece of to leave the two pipes and switch on the ignition.
The fuel came out of the pipe between the carbs that feed the numbers 3&4. Number 4 carb was full of
fuel sitting against the butterfly so could that carb be the problem?
