  1. Hi. If you still decide to use the small alternator the connection is a type 4. The plug to fit is available from Simtec Motorsport electrical Part No Con 354 comes with pins and seals. Contact www.simtekuk.co.uk Mail. sales@simtekuk.co.uk Tel 01706 854 857. Hope that helps as if used it reduces the chance of failure if you use a home made plug and silicone. Regards Allan
  2. Hi Paul. 150 ge-ge's now there will be no excuse not to crawl down to Darlo. Well done hope we will see you at the Church Mouse week on Wednesday. Best regards Allan
  3. Hi Dave. Did you replace the pressure plate and driven plate with an assembly of the same part number? Concentric clutches are very sensitive to the clutch spring finger height, and if the replacement was not identical to the original i.e. a low profile unit, Your clutch slave may have pushed out the end of the unit. secondly do you have a positive stop on the pedal this is also used to prevent pump-out of the cylinder, and finally you should not use a force feed bleeding system as this also can force the cylinder out. On our F1 Stock which we have just converted if there is not enough stroke you can pack the cylinder out with little packers under the slave feet don't know if you could do the same. Lots of information on the Tilton website it's mainly multi-plate clutches but lots of details on converting to concentric slaves. Hope it helps and you do not need to remove engine and box. Best of luck Allan

  15. Hi David, Are you trying for a new plate or age related and do they say if the receipt has to be from a recognized company like, Halfords or a motor factors and, are there any guidance notes published by Dvla or is it just one persons interpretation of the rules. As I spoke to a very nice gent at the Dvla in Newcastle two weeks ago and he explained at length what was required, but gave the impression that it was going to be hard work when it was all done at Swansea. Did they say they needed original paperwork or just copies. Hope you get through it all in the end. Regards Allan 14
  16. The time has come,The cash has passed,Iv'e gone and bought a Kit at last!!! Hi All. Today I brought home a part built Dax Rush kit,and will hopefully start the build at the end of December. So if there are any Hoodies out there with a Rush look out as i will no doubt be asking lots of questions, after i have sorted out all the bits and worked out exactly what I need to complete the build. The car is a 2004 LWB DAX Rush. 2.0 rebuilt Zetec. MT 75 gearbox. Sierra running gear. De-Dion rear suspension. Chrome front end. Pictures to follow as soon as it's sorted out. I am looking forward to the build and hopefully IVA 2015. And last but not least HAPPY BIRTHDAY MR CHAIRMAN (when are we getting the WINNEBAGO discount set up) Have a great day a good Christmas and look forward to seeing you all at Stonleigh 2014. Best regards to you all Allan
  17. But the big question now IS!! Will there be burgers ?? Who will flip the burgers????? and will it be to the masters standard. If there are to be burgers. I am up for a spell as we do not want leave the stand deserted. ALLAN.
  18. Hi to all,I have just connected to this thread and it must be the fastest thread in history !!! .As this will bring a lot of interested kit car owners close to the club activty would it not be prudent to offer a special show membership offer whilst people are standing in amazement looking at the club activitys. This focal point will be the last opportunity to tap into the unattached owners before christmas, and it seems a shame to waste this golden opportunity to get the message across that we welcome all Kit car owners and offer a GREAT CLUB WELCOME to one and all. I look forward to seeing you all at the show I will only be camping sat night. Great showing by all concerned for this tremendus effort. Regards ALLAN

  21. Hi Stuart. That guy was me and I will be going to Newark on Friday and could meet you at Scotch Corner,Just remember to bring the air bed patches. lets hope for better weather than last year.I will be in the tin top so will keep to the rear of your convoy!.Best regards and look forward to meeting you all again Allan
  22. Hi to you all.My comments echo those above, had a great time and looking forward to Newark, unfotunatly covered the last 15 miles on end of tow rope as cam belt went at Scotch Corner.Never mind my little dog was really pleased to see me,just going to trawl the net to see if it may have bent a valve. So once again a big thank you to all of you who organised the stand and everything else a Top Job at a TOP show.see you all soon. Allan
  23. Hi whiz we met at Newark last year I was in the tent next to the three of you.If you look on www.super7thheaven.co.uk there is a build manuel with all the part no's listed. Which end falls apart diff or hub.Hope the weather is better than last year. Can you post a photo of the offending parts Regards ALLAN
  24. Hi Whiz How do the drive shafts pop out?, there should be a retaining clip on the inside of the diff to stop this from happening. I would think that it is there to allow the spiders to slide on the shafts and to stop the shafts falling out of the diff. If you can look at an exploded view of the diff on the net you will see the clips listed they look like a thick circlip. They may have been left out by a previous owner when splitting the diff and shafts to save undoing the drive shaft bolts. Look forward to seeing you at Stoneleigh how much will the excess baggage be for the ZERO!! Hope the above helps Allan
