What carb are you using? May have a fuel cut off valve, have you made sure this is connected to a switched live?

Have you tried easy start in the carb?

Are you getting spark?

Failing all the above, loosen the dizzy retaining bolt and turn the dizzy slowly while someone crank engine, when it fires into life, tighten in that spot. Obviously you will need a timing light to do it properly.

That's a fair enough answer. I was just curious. I have heard of people doing what you have done with boosted engines - emissions map, day to day/low boost map, and power/high boost map - but hadn't come across it on a NA setup.

Is there really much difference between power an day today maps? I can't see the benefit on a NA engine, unless I am missing something?

Fantastic cars if modified right, unfortunately most are not. My daily is an original 172, wouldn't change it for the world.
