  6. Hi Dave Im going back a few year now to when i did my S7 but i think the paint formula was supplied by ICI AUTOCOLOUR FOR THE RED AND THE GREEN (FORMULATION 030-4TW6 ,GREEN.) RHSC may be using a other stockist by now. try a local bodyshop to see who supplys there paint and materials they should be able to match the green for you. Chris

    Gearstick

Dan if you dont want to cut a new thread on your gearstick you could look for a gearknob hex drive fitting and just bolt it on. This is the way i went when i shortened my quickshift. Chris BOO :boohoo: Robin got there first

    Engine

steve look for one with a 205 stamped in the block used in injection fords (and in 2wd cosworths) they can be bore to 93mm. the pinto was also fitted to transit vans as well but i would stay away from them as they have been to hell and back (i should know as i work for a transit dealer.) good hunting chris

    Engine

Steve yes get yourself a pinto cvh engine is hard to uprate if you fit a modified cam you have to get the cam timing spot on for optimum performance. 2.0L pinto is the best to modify to any stage of tune if you want to modify it at a later stage of you build. chris

Just an old build manual that was not much kop dont know what the build video is like as i have not seen it and when its finished you will be thinking what all the fuss was about and start having fun all the best with your build. chris n

    Exhaust

hi i would not use a cheap exhaust wrap it falls apart in a short space of time making one hell of a mess :boohoo: try demon tweek (01978 664466) they do cool it thermo tec exhaust wrap it good stuff but use the heat coating to seal the wrap and extend the life of the wrap had it on my exhaust manifold on the S7 for about 10 years and its still ok or merlin motorsport (01249 782101) do cooltek exhaust wrap 50mm x 5 metre long but they say it for competition use only hope this is a help dan Chris

  20. Hi mikerj what i think you have there is an S7. It could be what RH called a PAB (PART ASSEMBLED BODY) or S7 DELUXE (FULLY WELED) body/chassis unit, the PAB could be order in mild steel or mirror like stainless steel and the deluxe in stainless steel. i built a deluxe kit back in 93 and its still going strong today. RH can supply parts for this car, well i have no problem getting parts. There was a build manual for the S7 lost mine years a go sorry it was not much good anyway!!!!!!!! Most people put there chassis number on the rails under the bonnet or in the boot. Check for cracks around the o/s foot well where the steering column go's I made up a reinforcement plate for my car and also under the seats where the rear fire wall join's the floor. Can't see you having SVA problems if you go by the book. as for the rear leaf springs it must be a mod some one has put in as i have the Cortina rear axel on my car. hope this has helped you out a bit.
