  2. Agree with the above wrong oil could also do the same, and as its colder it will be thicker too
  3. yellow rh spotted this morning as i was going to work at 9-30 ish on the clapham bypass near bedford heading towards rushden anyone on here?? you wouldnt have noticed me, as i was in a van going the other way
  4. did mine... hinges on rose joints, totally removable in about 2 mins do so photos if you are intersted
  5. With the duratecs. Some of the thinner ones have wiped out the engine thrust.... not sure what the series is like for clearance behind the crank spigot bearing
  6. The ones I have seen are 20 to 25mm..... suggestion... Offer up without the bellhousing.... see how far it will engage... measure the distance.... allow say 5mm extra so you are not pushing against thrust...

    Duratec Engines

    stock 2l is good for 190 on std internals, and throttle bodies weak points are pistons.... they last about 2 years with my driving style on the road

    Mk1 has a square hazzard switch, round on the mk 2
  10. wrapping yourself will cost more.... rekon to scrap the first 2 attempts.... just my personal experience, and i didnt try something as complex as the nosecone
  11. get someone else to do it.... its not a lot of money, and saves sweeping up afterwards if you do decide to do it, i have a few bags of blast media, yours for a few bottles of beer
  12. something similar wiped out the oilpump and cam bearings on mine.....
  13. are you intending getting on the rollers? would be interested to see what bike carbs make compared to jenvey

    2.0 Pinto Oil Leak

    possible bottom breather leak ?? where do the breathers connect to ?? inlet or puke tank... is the valve intact in the bottom breather- if it goes to a tank, then it wants removing.... picture of where it appears to come from would help
