    Brakes

Hi - as indicated on another post I have recently had my 2B through the IVA and it failed on a number of very minor stuff eg needed more brake pipe clips, covers for electrical terminals, coil needed a weather proof cover etc However on the way to the test station the brake pedal went virtually to the floor, it could be pumped and slightly got better but would go to floor again. Obviously this was one of the fail items, I was very surprised the tester let me drive it back home! As there was no sign of a leak and the level of brake fluid in the reservoir had not dropped at all I suspect the problem lay in the master cylinder. The master cylinder fitted is ford one part number K0236 311809. Here lies my problem as these appear to be unobtainable- I have searched the internet without success, I would rather fit a new item, however, would consider a overhaul kit to get though the IVA but these seem unobtainable also. Can anyone advise of another M/cylinder that will fit without a major rebuild, I seen the posts about fitting KA M/Cs but it looks like a fair amount of work to convert. Any help would be appreciated Stuart
