Sidescreen Fitting Advice Please

Just bought some GBS sidescreens. Cannot decide where to put the hinges .. I assume inside the windscreen pillar on the car to keep rain and wind out. Does it matter where male and female go (sidescreen or car ?)

 

Suggestions / pictures very welcome.

just come in from fiddling with them ... From what I can make out in the RH brochure they are fitted with a hinge on the outside of the sidescreen and the other on the inside the pillar .. as per posted photographs. Can't seem to get mine to fit like that though ... leading edge of the sidescreen seems too big ... time for another go.
