Unless the car is incorrectly registered i.e. V5 and hence the MoT computer show the car as a Sierra there is no reason for the tester to put in the Sierra weight in but he should have asked you for the weight. BTW 750Kg is a nice round figure.

Also if the car was incorrectly registered the tester should refuse to test.

as chris has said the weight is arround 750kg for mot perpose.

sierra weight gives me the impression as said that the v5 poss has sierra as make of car

if thats the case you may have to poss sva the car to have it changed .

could be a putor glitch though and v5 ok and vosa wrong ?

check it .

you could be driving a wrong un .

is it a recent purchace ?

the v5 states its a robinhood exmo but doesnt say the weight, all the brakes have just been replaced and need to bed in, the effort limit for the MOT is 50 and mine was 43, with the correct weight it should pass ok .Thaks for the info i will find out next saturday when it goes back for a retest.

Car was last on the road in 1998 before the new style MOT's
