wasn't sure where to put this one. i'm trimming out my boot and am interested how much travel the half shafts have in the vertical plane. i want to put as much space as possible there, but don't fancy the boot hitting the shafts over bumps.

thanks. paul.

Hi Paul, if you measure the space from the top of your tyre to the wing the shafts can't travel any further. Unless u have coil overs in which case Richard should have the max travel details on them. Tony

With the car sat at its normal ride hight,

measure the amount of crome shaft showing

on the shocker this will be the total travel.

transfer this measurment to shaft in line with the

shocker (keep in mined the shaft travel in an arc,

more the further away from the diff you go)

so the max travel of the shaft is at the wheel end

this will be more than your measurment.

My boot floor is flat with the top of the chassis rails where the diff mounts. There is space underneath the sides above the half shafts, but not that much really. I may strap a tool box under there at a later date, but it's a distant plan.
