I have been chopping up my recaro seats

How do I find out if they are low enough in relation to the harness mounts to pass SVA?

Explanation

A is a block on the seat 56 mm X 147mm (off the top of my head i will check in the book tonight)

B is 500mm

X is the rear upper seat mount and must be higher than the top of B

measurments will be confirmed tommorrow...

As Andy says except the drawing I've got quotes the block as 136 x 53 mm and the height above the block is 450mm.

However, my copy does not have a Issue Number or Date.

I'll be interested to see what Andy confirms

I will have to wait for a while to check the measurements as im making up a subframe to go under the seat area.

as i understand it when the seat belt is attached to the mounting at top, they must not (when no one in seat) go up over the seat back, they can be level or a little higher. As for the bottom mounts i used the seats mounting points. There are some proper measurments but these seem difficult to understand. Mine straps are level at the top, which passed the SVA ok.

Sorry for the delay, in reply but i can now confirm the measurments are what Terry said, i had a look in my sva book. i couldnt see a date or issue number either. happy building
