What's This Hole For

There is a 1 inch-ish hole bottom left of the front face of the passenger footwell of my SuperSpec.

 

 

What's it for?

Presume it's same type of panel as 2B, in which case I don't think it should be there.

I put the wiring for the Lamda through it as the hole in the side panel is in the footwell area, I also put my screen wash feed through it. (with a grommet)

Lambda is the only thing I can think of too.. that's about the only way they differ from the 2b that makes a hole on passenger side make sense.
