Side Panel Fitting

Qucik question,

The side panel, do you have to trim the top fold? My panel seems to fit okay but I'm not sure if it will be long enough if you don't trim it at the dash tube. I'm using the fitting guide from the yahoo group but it doesn't say if you should or not only to make sure the cuts are aligned.

Thanks

Droid,

On the sub-k vid Richard lines the drivers side panel up using the exhaust and takes a bit out of the panel where it meets the dash allowing it to be moved backwards. Possibly trial fit the nose cone panel also so you know how much play you have, it you have plenty you could move it backwards as you so wish.

Hope this is of some help. :D

Hi Andy,

I didn't have to trim anything off mine.

As Mike says the driver's side is dependent on the exhaust cut out - mine lined up well with the S/S four branch manifold and I've got about 20mm overlap at the front. The passenger's side came out OK without trimming enough overlap at front for infill panel and rear for fitting the rear arches.
