that looks better, I'll try again with a pic of the inside. just to move matters along, as I only received my wings from MK a couple of days ago, I have just sent them an e-mail with full details of the fixings I used and asked them to comment. I will keep you informed of the result.

unlike you i did not cut into my wings at all,i reshaped the brackets to come very close to the tyre then completely under the wing i mounted the bracket to the wing with 4 3/4 inch dome headed bolts and nyloc nuts putting a strip of self adhesive foam between them.

also i did not touch my tca i moved the lower mount to the top of the tube and ground away all the weld etc from the bottom of the tube
