Sliding Pillar Conversion

Recommended Posts

I've posted this in the main forum but in case anyone hasn't seen it.

I am looking for a company or individual in the South that is capable of swapping the suspension from Sliding Pillar to Wishbone.

I have the kit but am not confident with welding the new set on.

Any ideas?

Bit of an update and may be of interest to people in the South East.

I was filling up with fuel this morning and a chap came over, introduced himself and said "that's a 2B isn't it"?

Well, I thought he was obviously a Hoodie but it turns out he did some engineering work a few years ago forRHE. Suffice to say he didn't have too good an impression of them :/

However, he builds prototypes and does specialist engineering work on cars.

I'm popping over to see him at the weekend and will post an update if he works on the conversion project.

I haven't said I will be posting his details on here so appologies for not supplying his details but will do when I speak with him.

Good news Larry.

You might get it done after all.

Might be worth offering to labour for him, hold the odd bit and watch the conversion.

That way you will have a better understanding of how it all goes together and be able to maintain it.

Good luck.

Exactly my thoughts Ian old son!!

I am the first to admit I'm a bit of a Muppet when it comes to cars and am amazed Georgie went through the SVA in the first place. Even more amazed the wheels haven't fallen off so will eagerly absorb any knowledge this chap cares to impart.
