Hi All

Just fitting my loom correctly (instead of wires all over the car) and also fitting my brake lines

But having trouble in where i should route these around the engine area/bay :(

Especially the brake line for the front near side (I have a sliding pillar)

Where has everyone else routed these??

Pictures would be a great help

Thanks in Advance

Paul

Hi Paul.

I need to run my new lines as well, and I will be keeping mine high (not higher than the lowest part of the reservoir due to air traps) along the chassis and tucked up out of sight, and only coming down where it joins the flexi hoses. Use a small bender and cutter and keep them as neat and straight as possible. Use P clips as per IVA rules on spacing distances.

I don't have any pics as it is a job still to be done, but it is very straight forward having done several car rebuilds and full brake line runs.

Hi Paul,

On the sliding pillar cars I've seen, the brake lines have always gone across the "v-shaped" crossmember at the front. Not sure where else it could go. The wishbone car has a straight bar, which is where I've put mine

what loom are you using, the sierra one or an after market one? on my 2b (wishbone)I took it straight across the front , on a sliding pillock I think it follows the cross tubes or take it from the resivior straight over to the near side behind the engine then down the side,

if you want to have a look at mine, i'm just up the road near whitchurch

Thanks all for the responses

I have provisionally placed them following the cross section at the front,

Now I have another question, how far apart has the brake line’s got be away from the wiring loom,

Can’t seem to find this in the IVA manual?)

As I have my loom running on the bottom V cross section and now my brake line running on the top V section. They are about 1inch apart and the nearest point

Will this OK , I can post a picture if need??

Paul

Peter might take you up on your offer if I have any more issues, Thanks
