Rust Inhibition

Recommended Posts

Having finally pulled the beast out of storage from the winter I have found that I have rust starting on my roll-over bar (which had previosly been powder coated).

I will (over Easter hopefully) get the fine emery and Wet & Dry on to it to remove it, but my question is what is the best substance to use as an undercoat/primer to stop it leaking back. I seem to remember "Jenolite" (spelling??) produced a product that sealed it.

Is this still available or is there something better

Hi Nick,

I do believe that jenolite is still available- you should be able to get it from most good motor factors, halfords is prob easiest as a starting point, if you cant find it another good product for killing and inhibiting rust is "kureust/kurust" (dunno bout spelling either).

Hope you find something.

Stu :D
