Sump For Super Spec

Help, I have been trying now for two weeks to get hold of a sump that will fit my car.

I am looking for a sump to fit a 2 ltr Rover T series engine. The sump is approx 115mm (4.5ins)deep at its deepest point.

What I need is the Model numbers and years of cars that this sump was originally fitted too.

Your help would be much appreciated.

The engines (sumps) are off either the rover 420 or the rover 620

 

The answer was in an old thread of yours about your front suspension!

 

"If the sump is the same level as the bell housing you have the shortest sump off the 420 (the rover 620 sump is 20mm deeper)"

 

Mine had the 620 engine & sump when I got it and I got a 420 one from an online breakers and shortend the pick up pipe.

 

As for the years, I think all 420 & 620 rovers were fitted with the "T" series engine.

I have to change my supplier, although I gave him all the info as to model and type I still got supplied with a Japanese sump which bore no resemblance to the original.

Just make sure it's off a 420 Not a 620
