Sill Covering

Hi can anyone help me out im a little stuck. What do you use to cover the sills so there are no sharp edges off the stainless. can i just unrivet the stainless put the carpet to go under the stainless the re rivet it back i just cant get my head around this.

Hi Brian, on my 2B I have covered the sills with pipe lagging which I have wrapped with black vinyl.

Thanks it looks like im going to go with pipe lagging with black leatherette covering,if this fails i will go with moulded plastic with carbon fibre.
