Fuel Tank Isolator

Going to fit an in line filter between tank and injection pump and had this idea that if I put in a stop cock it could save some grief when I need to change the filter or have pump problems. First thing that sprung to mind was to use the switch type as used for washing machines water inlet but not sure if it can be used for fuel?. Any ideas or comments?

Best thingies to get a "dry break connector" for the fuel filter... We use them in rallying,andmit means you can disconnect fuel connections without loss of fuel or needing to rebelled any pipes

the 1/4 turn isolating valves are fine with petrol i have used them many times,the internal seals are ptfe on the ball and regular "o" rings on the stem.
