I have been asked this question a number of times by people getting ready for their SVA and either don't have access to the internet or are unable to find the answer. So for the record could someone who has recently gone through the SVA give me a list of all the weights required for the test. I will then pin them on here so anyone can find them.

Cheers

Ps, I have a bloke ringing back at 9pm tonight for the answer so a quick response would be brill

Sorry, not had to fill out an SVA form yet.

This bloke was asking for

the weight for axle 1, 2, gross weight, design weight weights with and without driver, was he asking for too much?

I agree with ant

All that was required were axle 1, axle2 and gross, weights

They work out the design weight at the SVA test, the figure that they arrive at then has to be lower than the gross weight supplied on the SVA application form.

Hope that clarifys

Now I'm beginning to get worried here.

I've recently sent the form off for my 2B (surely one of the last of the first batch that's not on the road yet). I used the figures you guys are quoting for axle one and two but I don't remember filling in a gross - please tell me I haven't missed a box on the form :o . Oh well we can but wait and see.

Hi Tim

My 2B passed at Watnall, Notts yesterday.

Axle 1=450kg, Axle2=650kg, Gross=1100kg, Train=N/A.

Car came in at 705kg without a driver.

Alan.

Hello,

Tim,

As long as the axle weights are more in writting(on the SVA form) than they are at the test then you will be ok, The testers will fail it if the design weight on paper is less that the test.

It's hard to give an exact weight for any type of Kit as it all depends what engine/extras you put on.

Am I making sense?

Mark
