Cologne V6 Ignition Upgrade.

Hi everyone,

 

I've been thinking about putting an under cap electronic ignition module on my v6 Cologne to replace the points etc...I have been looking at an Accuspark module which is priced well and receives good reviews. Does anyone have real world experience of these? And...I believe a brown dizzy is bosche and blue/black is Motorsport? Can anyone confirm that? Thanks.

Yes the orange / red capped distributor is Bosch.

 

I have a module in our Beauford and a full electronic distributor in the Daimler.

 

Both have been fitted now for 3 years and I haven't been near either since fitted.

I have one on my Pinto- works perfectly every time. Fit and forget; no messing about with points or gapping them. For about £30 it really is worthwhile.

Accuspark gear is very good and tech help great used it on my pinto mick

Glenn - the XR4i Cologne didn't use points. Ignition module and an XRi distributor will do it as an alternative option.

And u get accuspark discount i think it was 10% im using one too..no problems.
