Mot Or Sva ?

I asked at my local MOT station about doing an MOT before the SVA test on my 2b using my chassis no ( which I made up ).

He refused point blank to do it because the braking test is carried out according to the axle design weights which can only be accurately determined at SVA test!

The weights I can give him from RH are not accurate or proof enough!!

Any comments guys?

Try a different MOT station, and rather than asking if they'll do it tell them you need it done in order to get the thing registered.

 

The SVA man at Derby told me to try to MOT before SVA if at all possible. I guess that you could get them to ring the Derby SVA centre and ask about the rules and regs as I'm sure he'll give the same answer again.
