Tyre Sizes

Currently running 185 60 tyres on 14 inch wheels,got the chance of some 13 inch original minilite wheels but cant work out what size tyres I would need to keep same rolling radius.Does any one know?

Hi just done the calc

 

185/65/13 will give you a true speed of 69.17mph when your speedo shows 70mph

185/60/14 gives you a radius of 578mm so if you want to go down to 13 inch wheels here are some tyre sizes:

155/80/13 = 580mm a bit tall and skinny

175/70/13 = 577mm

185/70/13 = 588mm not to far off

205/60/13 = 576mm pretty fat but don't know how wide your new rims are so may not fit

 

try lookin at mytyre.co.uk - lots of tyres at what seem like reasonable prices if you can get them fitted cheaply - have not used them so can't vouch for the service.

 

there is a link to a tyre size calculator in there somewhere but can't find it at the moment

Thanks steve and tank,I can now cost the wheel change including tyres.The wheel width is a 6j,would a 205 fit?
