Inlet Manifold

after a bit of help plse.

have now got a webber 2v carb and inlet manifold for 2ltre pinto.

however, have a couplse of questions.

hole 1 in the pikkie...what normally goes from this please?

hole 2 is for the threaded water pipe, anyone know where i could get one plse,,, have tried local ford dealers and scrappies to no avail.

and lastly, where do i connect the electric choke to plse?:....

Hole 1 is for the vacuum take off T piece -

for the oil separator and vacuum advance to the ECU I think.

 

I might have a spare water connection Ill have a look and get back to you. B)

just took a chunk of flesh out me thumb getting it out. :o

 

I've got an elbow water take off, send me a pm if you want it, ill drop it in a jiffy bag. also got the vacuum tee if you need one.

Adrian - I assume you have the carb with the stepper motor? The electric choke is connected to the "W" terminal on the alternator (gives out the necessary voltage when the engine is running to warm up the coil in the choke and progressively open up the butterfly)

sorry about delay in responding but with xmas and all that jazz.

which is the ...W.. terminal plse.. have looked at my alternmater today, have three spade connections, one large and two small...

and guess what,. it aint in the haynes :gdit:

Adrian - pics, hope they are of assistance.

IIRC, the "W" teminal was used on my Mk111 Astravan for the relay for the diesel filter heater. I also used this terminal on my Mk111 Cav years ago to provide a split charge system for the caravan battery charging & 'fridge. FWIW, one can also use it to power a relay for day running lights, a mod for my Hood for the future....
