Anti-Thermic Tape

Hello, I am David, I saw some RH with this kind of anti-thermic tape covering the outlet manifolds,like the one used in motorbikes.

I have some questions, does it reduce the engine temperature (as the engine compartment receives less heat from the manifolds ) or does it increase the engine temperature (as the steel of the manifolds will be heater being covered with tape) ??.

Could it will produce fissures in the outlet manifolds because the steel of them will be working at higher temperatures??

I used thermal velocity heat wrap on my manifolds. id does reduce under bonnet temps, but the can gets warmer now.
