Can anyone suggest a good sealer product that is petrol resistant.

I have cut a hole in the top of my tank to tighten the nut on the inside for the bottom exit fuel supply.

I have made a plate and gasket and screwed it down but it will probably leak.

What can I use?

Regards

Fred

I used 'petrol tank sealer' from my local car shop, it comes as a paste, you cut off the amount you want and 'kneed' it together untill it changes colour.

It has the consistancy of bluetack, you press it into the gap you want and it hardens. You can drill and tap it if you want, it's also fuel resistant.

I think it's around £3

Mind you, you'll never get it off again! so on second thoughts, use blue Hylomar.
