Hi everybody

I would be interested in your choice in oil grade

Some Hoodies use theirs everyday but others like me only get out at weekends if its fine - as the engine is only fired up occasionally and then driven with great enthusiasium !!!!! what grade of oil would be appropriate for an engine thats been upgraded but getting on in years

Use the viscosity mentioned in the Haynes manual and make sure the oil you buy has API SL rating and/or ACEA A3 then you know you have the best oil available...

Change the oil and filter at least once a year no matter what the milage. If you don't use the car during the winter I suggest running the engine for 15 minutes once a week...

PS Don't sit in a closed garage if you do run the engine for 15 minutes :(

Use a fully synthetic oil, but make sure you use a flush before you change oils, and you (obviosly) change the oil filter..

Viscosity 5w/15 - - 0w/15

any advances on this, :)

hope so.. :s
