Wot Head Now

Things were going really well and then a manifold stud broke, then a stud remover broke. So as the head will now have to come off , now is the time to prehaps fit a injection head so I can use unleaded. The question is what are the markings to distinguish a unleaded head. Graham

I can't remember exactly what or where the markings are but on my head I was looking for an 'S' or 'SS'. Go to the RHOCaR website (www.rhocar.org) and look at article 25 under build tipz where all will be revealed. There is a full list from Dave Gilling.

Have a look at the inlet ports if you can. Unmodified injection heads have pear-shaped ports.

Daz you have got me worried now, you mentioned the word unmodified. Do injection heads have to be modified? Graham

Apologies for causing confusion. There is no need to modify the injection head.

 

What I meant to say was that the inlet ports are pear-shaped, unless someone has gone in with a dremmel and modified the gas flow properties by rounding them off again. Some people do, to try and free up more horsies.
