Steering Column

Just thought I would give people some info. Have spent last three outings to the garage trying to sort out the steering rack, steering column, pedal position. Once I had everthing aligned, shaft just missing the exhaust etc. I kept getting a knocking through the steeing wheel. I couldn't find where the contact was being made. Bearing in mind I had taken note of other peoples experiences and fitted angled spacers under the rack I thought I should have a working solution. I have now found the problem. The lower universal joint on the steering shaft is so badly manufactured with gobs of weld that it actual makes contact with itself as it rotates giving the knocking sensation. Remember when building a hood just because it doesnt work doesnt mean its you. Now for the bake pipes
