Just been emailed Netto's weekly offers, from tomorrow they are selling electric hoists for £40.

does anyone know how much a pinto weights?

I use one like that , in the 250 kg mode ( two wire ) for lifting a pinto.

From the Haynes sierra 1982 to 1983 workshop manual.

 

1.6l = 132.9Kg or 293lb

2.0l = 137.0Kg or 302lb

 

Doesn't state if that's with or without alternator, carbs, etc though.

With the superspec you lift the car off the engine and gearbox, apparently! Would these hoists be ok for that?
