Has anyone managed to stop the RHE coil overs, supplied with the wish-bone suspension, from creaking?

I've tried WD40, molybdenum & silicone grease to no avail.

Help it's driving me crazy!!

Here's what I did to my rear coilovers - Jacked up the wheels so as little force was on the springs as possible (without adjusting them). Smear a finger of grease between the srping coils onto the shock sides. Then rotate the spring a few times to spread it around the whole circumference. This has lasted since mid to late June when I did it, and the car is used almost every day.

I've yet to do anything to the front ones. They do squeak but I don't find it as annoying as the rear ones were. I will do the same to them too one day.

Are you saying the noise is comming from the springs rubbing on the body of the damper case? I've been trying to locate the source & thought it was from the rod entering the seal of the damper.

Hi

I have the same problem on my 2b - back & front. Drives you nuts.

If your centralise the springs on the shocks it helps, but they move.

However, I was wondering about using PTFE sleeves.

Anyone know were to find such things ?
