Not much experience! :huh: But I've seen em fixed horizontally and vertically so I wouldn't have thought an angle should make too much differance.

Mine's vertical - inlet at the bottom, outlet at the top. There was something on here a few weeks back about a vertical MAF sensor and a slight change in idle speed over speed bumps because the flap wobbles. I'm happy with mine being vertical though.
