Trottle Cable

I need to replace my fraying throttle cable - 2Lt EFi - I've been trying the local motor factors and getting the message that it's a Dealer only part. :boohoo:

 

I've decide to get a new cable, not second hand, but before I go and see "Dick Turpin" and hand over copious quantities of spondulux, I just wondered if any of you resourceful, and fiscally responsible, Hoodies know of any alternatives.

 

Any help appreciated.
