:blink: I want to make a heatshield for my 2B . Where can I get the material from i've seen some in B&Q but I dont really like it. Or is there some one who makes them to save me the trouble,at reasonable cost. The exhaust is the standard rhe 2 into 1 stainless steel one. thanks simon. B)

I recall one builder used material from a scrap washing machine drum (stainless steel, already has lots of little holes in it). I saw his car at a show, looked just fine to me.

mmmm...obviously I need to a bit more background reading! :)

 

Of course another option is to use the stainless steel sheet supplied in the kit to find out just how good those cobalt drills really are. Unfortunately there are no lamp posts close to my garage so I formed mine around a circular section fence post (having marked out and centre punched the hole positions) and then set to with the drill. The end result looks OK!
