I still do it. I don't need to though, I can pull a way in 4th with a bit of clutch slip. :D

 

Just coz Colin Chapman didn't put a V8 in his 7 doesn't mean he wouldn't have if there was one around that was suitable.

My exhaust note isn't quite a rasp but at 5500-6000 it does have people looking skywards for the lightning!!

In my opnion, a Seven is not a Seven without a rasping exhaust note! Who hasn't changed down to 3rd when top would do, just to blip the throttle for an audible delight? Come on, we all have and still do!! ;)

 

You could always put a bit of paper inside the wheelarch so it rubs on the spokes of the wheel ;)
