So What Did We Think

so guys what did we think of detling ?

we had a good day all in all and i got the engine remapped slightly to inprove driveability

mtech helped out again and i am happy to extoll the reverence to matt the mapping god .

cherrs matt

the flat spot has gone and it drives much better ,

mayby sort out the vvt switch on to 3000 as at 80 in 5th its running at 4000 rpm as the vvt cuts in at 4200

so overtaking is a bit of a hit and miss afair .

i down shifted from 5th to 4th on m1 and as the vvt cut in i nearly hit the car i was supposed to overtake , cos

it went so quick and was a little unexpacted .

new pants on now so ok .

so new map needed when you get time .

cheers guys great day .

Graham,

Cheers for the props :)

Stoneliegh was good as well mate, I have yet to see any 'reference' to the 200 bhp ST170 :p

Was a cracking show though, loads of dyno runs and yet again your car was the only one that managed to scare me on the dyno with the crazy VVT!!

How does it feel now anyway?!?

Cheers,

Matt

hi matt

many thanks for the time you spent remapping the st , should i say that you only wanted to charge me £30 .

poss nott .

but many thanks for the effort on the remap , the difference is daft !

if you thought it was crazy on the rollers you should try it on the road !

might have to think of a gearbox up grade though ? t 5 ?

for anyone that dosnt know the lightweeight is built with the diff being the first major componant fitted,

its then panneled in all around , to remove and change the diff is poss the destruction of the car , the diff being built into the structure first means that the diff you choose is the one your stuck with .

i have no lsd ?

mmmmmmm

Thats random, the diff BEING the starting point, that would be a daunting build, just panels, with a diff on top...

No way you could somehow get to it to maybe change the internals then?

hi matt

i have discussed this with a couple of different guys re the diff rebuild , 1 has said he thinks he could do it !

so mayby a slipper in the future , but its a lot of work so not at the moment .i havnt made any ref to the result

cos i might appear flash , dont want that so dont post the result ta .

having said that the car is awsome and it takes some driving to keep it all together .

to have a car that produces the power and is as reliable as it is is great , many thanks .
