Hi i wonder if any would know if honder fireblad carbs are the right carbs for a pinto as i seen some on ebay or is it best to go for ones from robin hood .Any help would be great thanks Nigel

hi,fireblade carbs working fine with my set up at the moment,if my memory serves me right,richard at gbs prefers these to kawasaki ones.fireblade gives a bit more top end but the kawasaki sounds a bit crisper.a lot neater under the bonnet aswell rather than the efi system.hth,

I,m running blade carbs with a 30bhp increase including vernier pulley, 24bhp from the carbs and 6bhp from the pulley. To give you a starting point you want 2psi fuel pressure and my carbs are jetted to 1.3mm mains with blanked off air correctors. 12deg of advance on dizzy. I,m using the gbs manifold.

My car was set up on the dyno and this set up produced the most power and torque the car fuels properly all the way through the rev range pulls from low down and revs its nuts off higher up

 

Good luck there is a lot of different ideas on how to set them up but this works really well for my engine.
