Dry Sump

Hi Chaps.

After bashing my sump guard on every bump around tan hill, has any one fitted a dry sump or knows any one who has.

I would like to know if there are any diy kits out there. Burton and pace have them but they are too dear for me.

I have shortend the sump and I cant lift the engine because the throttel body would hit the frame, so if theres a diy kit I would like to have a go.

Hi Paul

All the bits are available "after market" as it were, people like West Wales Rally spares who build / break rally cars sould be able to supply.

You can usually pick up second hand tanks, oil pipe isn't that expensive.

The most expensive bit will be the oil pump, and unless you can confirm its history I would go with a new one.

Be prepared to loose a large chunk of boot space, the tanks are quite large.
