I am now in the final stages of putting an info pack together and will be e-mailing it to those I have e-mail addresses for and posting it to those I dont.

I have a couple of permits available due to a couple of Members having to drop out.

Anyone wanting to go to Le Mans with us that has not yet booked must get their booking in to me ASAP.

Booking forms are available to download from this site.

If you need to discuss any details please do me the courtesy of calling before 9pm as I am an early to bed type ;) :o :D ^_^ ! !

My number is inside the front cover of the Mag.

PLEASE NOTE: Radar detectors are illegal in France, even if they are not in use.

Official release from HM Government here.

Paragraph about detectors is about half way down the page, and if you read farther down, check this out!

LOCAL LAWS AND CUSTOMS

The French Government has recently introduced severe new penalties for road traffic infringements. These include a sentence of up to ten years’ imprisonment and a fine of 150,000 Euros for causing death whilst over the alcohol limit; a sentence of up to seven years and a fine of 100,000 Euros for causing death by dangerous or negligent driving; a sentence of up to two years, a fine of 30,000 Euros and seizure of the vehicle and device for using any radar detecting device, this can even apply to vehicles with such devices installed but switched off. The French police are also applying speeding restrictions strictly; and drivers exceeding speed limits face heavy on-the-spot fines. Drivers who break French driving laws can also have their British driving licences confiscated by French Police; and the driver concerned will not be allowed to continue to drive the vehicle. This means that, if the driver is alone or travelling with a non-driver, the vehicle can be impounded until another driver with a current driving licence is available to drive it away.

I've not got the write up for Le-mans done yet, as I have to rely on information from other sources for part of it, but I've now posted the report on the D-Day celebrations in Normandy that the North West Hoodies 'took part' in, before carrying on to Le-mans.

Check out the link from here.

Far be it for me to bring it to the attention of everyone but I have just noticed the washing up liquid bottle proudly positioned in the corner of Jims boot box in the above pic of his car ready to leave for LeMans.

Was it an advertising campaign Jim or were you hoping to pull ? :o !!

How does it go - Now hands that do dishes can feel soft as your face with mild green Fairy liquid.

Have you felt Jims Face ? ;) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
