    shortend sump

The oil should lie clear of getting whipped by the con rods, if you're not sure about your dipstick (And Ford in their wisdom made several dipstick & tube lengths for the Pinto. Buy one of these from Burton Power. (will suite a shorten sump) 'Dipstick & tube'.
  2. After 21 years of being a Hoodie, and several years as the NW area sec, my heath has decided that it's time to say goodby to the Hood, so I'll be bringing it to Stoneleigh on the Sunday to sell it on. See you all there.
  3. Don't need it back. Once you've sorted out for yourself, you might think to run a few off either with the corsa caliper settings, or copy the sierra settings. I'm sure others might want to do similar.
  4. this plate is for the sierra calipers from the sierra 4x4 that had discs on the rear, not corsa
  5. Message me your address https://www.dropbox.com/s/0lczguhlu09z2qo/20190201_095302.jpg?dl=0
  6. Can you get plates cut out if you had a sample? plasma cut or similar?
  7. As previously said, 1mm cutting disk, but once you've marked out (over tape) where you want the cut, clamp a piece of bar or similar straight edge along the line then you 'rub' along the bar with the side of the disk as you cut.
  8. check out this link, http://nw.rhocar.org/dashboards.htm
  9. I've used leather safety gloves, warm enough and cheap enough. similar to these, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10-X-Driver-Work-Gloves-Fleece-Cotton-Lined-Soft-Leather-Lorry-Drivers-Safety/302074150440?hash=item465505be28:m:mHlzxhq3JY4RpCrDDOEqDHg
  10. firstly you need to decide which monocoque model you have, many people call their cars "S7" but that was only used for a very short time as Caterham took RH to court to get him to stop using it. go to http://nw.rhocar.org/identification.htmto find out which model you have, but be aware there were a few "one-off" whilst he experimented with different things.
  11. I still have the sierra sender in the tank, but bent and fiddled with the float wire until I got the best out of it, now it reads 3/4 full when it's actually full, but as it drops down below 1/2 it's actually spot on, so when it reads empty, you really need to pray that there's a garage around the corner.
  12. How to wire the electric fan. http://nw.rhocar.org/fan%20wiring.htm
  13. Valve clearances on a Pinto are ; Inlet = 0.008" (8 thou) Exhaust = 0.010" (10 thou) if you've set them at 20 7 25, it's no wonder they rattle.
  14. The cheapest glass cleaner that you can get from the supermarket. Windowlean etc will leave smears. The stainless has a film covering it, so you don't actually clean the metal itself, just the surface of the film.
  15. When I originally had them made, they were plasma cut. If someone is going to take on the job of getting some made, i'll send them this single one that I have if they want it for a pattern.
  16. This is the fix that I used. Good news everyone! There is a fix that you can upload so that the photobucket problem goes away and you can see those pictures that went missing. If you're using Google Chrome, go to the three dots on the right side of the screen and click them. A drop down should appear. Hover your mouse over "More Tools," and when the next drop down appears, click on extensions. Go to the link towards the bottom that says "Get more extensions." In the search box, type "Photobucket Fix," and hit enter. Click the install button and once it's done, you should be able to see photobucket pictures again. For FireFox users, click on the three bars on the right side of the screen, then click on add ons. Click search for "photobucket hotlink" and click install. Same result.
  17. The calipers were off a Sierra 4x4, you'll also need the caliper carriers,The discs came from the same vehicle.. As for making any more, no chance! I made those when I was in an engineering job some 14 - 15 years ago, I left there shortly after under medical orders, the factory burnt down some 5 - 6 years ago. (I didnt do it!)
  18. Well what a bummer! I can't even edit my own posts to add more information! Photograph of the plate. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ni8mz70a0qa2123/plate.jpg?dl=0 I've drawn around it, and measured it the best that I can. the holes marked 'A' are for the brake caliper, the holes marked 'B' are for the hub bolts, so you can confirm measurments from them. If you print off the drawing to fit an A4 paper, it should then be the correct size. Drawing here. https://www.dropbox.com/s/tfq68rrzlc9phar/brake%20adapter%20plate.jpg?dl=0
  19. Ok, the article on the NW site is my car, I used to make the plates many moons ago. I still have 1 plate. (adding more)
  20. Searching Ebay, this one looks promising https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEMFORDER-Supporting-Joint-Ford-galaxyii-MONDEO-IV-S-MAX-and-Volvo-Front-2-Pcs/292423175053?fits=Car+Make%3AFord&epid=1446141102&hash=item4415c78b8d:g:pmMAAOSw8d9U0kYC There may even be a part number stamped on yours.
  21. I have a ifor williams CT136, bought it new last year. There is a right pain in the rear with a manufacturing mistake to do with loading the ramps back in, The ramps slide back up just inside the running boards, but as you push them up, the leading edge sags down and comes hard against a crossmember, stopping it sliding up fully, I've had to modify it by adding bars to stop this happening, otherwise it's a cracking good trailer, very stable with the car on.
