Hi, when I brought my S7 earlier this year it came with a DGAS carb in a carrier bag, I was told it needed a service. Looking at it the choke butterflys are missing, has abody got any spares for sale ?

I could also do with a photo/photos of what it should look like to see any other bits are missing, cheers <_<

hi Gary

you dont need the choke butterflys unless you specifically want he choke, it should start/run without just pump throttle about 3 times

I do have a DGAS for sale if you get no were, its only done a couple of thousand miles from new

regards

Hi paul, any chance you could post a couple of photo's of the carb, I'm not sure it anything else is missing, there seems to be a threaded hole on the top left of float chamber.

Cheers.

Hi Garry

In case you can't get any missing bits cheap from somewhere - I managed to get a complete second Hand DGAV carb (Believe same as DGAS except water temp choke) for £30.00 from Escort-Tec Phone Mark 07855 985220. Would probably post to you. My DGAV seems to be working fine. (Only done about 200 miles though). Also have you looked in the Sierra Haynes manual for drawings of carbs or possibly try the Weber web site. Hope this helps. Ian H

Hi ive got a set of butterflys & all the choke stuff sitting as ive just removed them from my carb as I don't run with a choke , removing them allows more air through the carb. your more than welcome to them as i have a complete spare carb also.
