Back again for more help and good advise.

My wiring is all finished and working (so i thought ) Now i have got the engine running it appears my ignition light stays on. any ideas where i have gone wrong.

i.e what tells it to go out !. I have used the RH loom and the escort dash supplied with the kit if this helps. probably just the case of a missing wire or spur but can i work it out. Any advise much appreciated ps It's a 3A

Thanks Steve

Not checked it yet as i assumed it to be working ok as it's only just come off the sierra. (When all seemed well) Fairly convinced it's down to my wiring, as i got to the point were i was just trying any wire to see what worked. After hours of doing this i thought i had won, (until the light stayed on of coarse)

I know you are sure the wiring is ok but check that the blue wire from the alternator is connected to the guages, I believe that is the one that works the ignition light.

Pete

thanks. You were dead right, first i checked the power output from the alternator which seemed ok, Then played about with the connection blocks to the instrument panel and Hey bloody light went out. Time spent going over old ground is incredible

But will get there in the end.

Thanks again
