Im thinking about moving my battery into my boot (bring on the flames)

my question is ,where can i get cable from @ a cheap price....

am i right in thinking that i only need to run a positive feed and strap the -ve to the chassis.

im going to stafford in a few weeks, would it be cheaper there?

cheers

Just a thought, what about using good quality jump leads with the gaiter grips cut off and crimping new ends on? You might be able to reuse the ends off your short battery cables.

Make damn sure that the +ve won't come into contact with the chassis.....

i.e if the insulation breaks down for whatever reason (slight movement wearing through insulation) your car may catch fire :(

Does this posting set me up for a barrage of abuse

No we are not going to mention tunnel panels fitted the wrong way round,

Anyway lets not start all this claptrap again.

Lets just settle that if you want to put your battery in the back Good luck to you, and if you want to fit your Washer bottle in the back taking up valuable boot space good luck to you also. :p :p

A big thanks goes to Bill & Joey for bringing me the cable on sunday.....

And im sure im not stupid enough to run a cable through the car without protecting it properly.

i will be running it through a piece of trunking , and ive purchased a battery cut off switch which i will mount in the boot also.

next week i will be mounting the following in the boot...

Radiator

Windscreen

nosecone

front o/s wheel.

and just so Ant doesnt feel left out ..... the washer bottle.

bill i would have more post but the site would not let me send them :o if you fit the battery in boot does it not take much needed space away not to mention the problems finding the correct rated wire ?
