Jointing Compound

Can anybody recommend a jointing compound to use between panels/chassis/other metal bits and pieces when screwing ( :shok: )it all together?

I plan on using Sikaflex or Tigerseal to bond and seal (and stop leaks) where necessary, but was wondering about stopping that electrolytic corrosion stuff.............

Thanks.

Hi Steve,

I have used Sikaflex 228, it is panel adhesive / sealant and is overpaintable once cured and is easy to trim when cured if you over spill. Just make sure you abrade and clean both the panel and chassis and I layed the adhesive over the rivet holes so it sealed them when riveted.

HTH's

Cheers

Hi Steve,

I used something for all my Pop Rivets etc. Can't say I used it for actual metal to metal though - Ooooer!

Can't remember what it's called but I still have the tin in the garage - I'll have a look and let you know this evening.
