Hi All,

I am going to join my stainless steel bonnet to the nose cone then hinge the complete unit at the front below radiator. What do you think is the best solution rivets or stainless steel button head hex screws?

Advice please.

Regards

Mark

Hi Mark,

Without wishing to appear rude... Why? Only my first thought on reading your post was the strain

that will be imposed on the nose cone by the weight and lack of rigidity of the assembly, and secondly, it'll

make access to the engine bay very awkward?? :unknw: A friends 2B as the "alligator" bonnet/nosecone style

and it's a bitch to work on. :shok:

The GRP of the nose cone is very thin and will fatigue very quickly with the bonnet hanging off of it when open.

Your choice obviously mate, i'm merely voicing my opinion. :drinks:

Regards,

Nick.

have to agree with shaft if there one thing i could change with my 2b it would be the bonnet as it is rivited to the nose i may even have to make a new bonnet so i can do it like the zero

they are very easy to bend and when you rivit it to the nose they dont sit to well
