do i need to wire this into the hood?? just i cant seem to find any ref to it any where

 

what is its purpose??

Looks suspiciously like the brake light switch to me.

Round , black and two wires going to it ?

yep, looks like the brake light switch, in which case I would say you probably should connect it. Try removing the switch and with the wires connected turn on the ignition and the brake lights should come on and go off when you press the button.

How are you getting on with the rest of the wiring then?

(Yes Brake switch, bit of a clue the long dangly bit that you hit with your foot when you want to stop)
